Daughter of the Spirit King: A Slow Burn Story That Will Captivate You

 A good slow-burn story? Does it exist?

Introduction 

'Daughter of the Spirit King’ or 'Anak Perempuan Raja Peri', is a manhwa that we rarely come across. The story is a slow burn that makes the development of each character very visible. This manhwa also contains a bit of Isekai, but different from other isekai manhwa, Haein the main character was born in a fantasy world but when she was born her father sent her as a baby to a place in Korea.

Summary of the Plot and Character Information

The story of this manhwa begins with Haein's mother before she dies without telling her lover who was a Spirit King that they both had children. Unfortunately, Haein's father was late to find out about it and he only found out shortly after his lover gave birth and later died. He was upset that his lover died, so he threw Haein into another world, in Korea and then took her back after Haein was 17 years old.

Haein, who suddenly switched worlds, fainted after seeing many water spirits floating around her. That made the relationship between Haein and his father, Ellaim very bad at first. One of the reasons is also because Haein's random behavior makes it very easy to make her father angry. Haein, who was fed up, planned to run away from home and start her journey.

Haein herself is a child who is innocent at first, enthusiastic, and likes to learn new things. While Ellaim is a father who is a tsundere and easily angry. As the story progresses, the relationship between Haein and her father gets better and Ellaim turns into someone who is very affectionate with his daughter and overprotective.

What is great about this manhwa?

One thing I liked the most about this story was the relationship between Haein, her father, uncle, and aunt. Although there are battle scenes in this story, unfortunately, there are not too many especially since the whole story focuses on family relationships without any romantic relationships. Therefore, it's actually not the type of story that everyone will love.

Beyond that, the author of this story succeeded in writing the development of the relationship between Haein and her father, as well as the gradual change in Haein's nature from being careless to being more careful. The last thing I think is lacking is the ending of this story, the ending is good but makes us readers feel 'oh this is it? but what will happen next?’

If you like slow burn and relaxing storylines, then you must read this manhwa. This manhwa is finished, so you can start reading this anytime without having to wait for a new episode.
